maitreya uvāca
vinindyaivaṁ sa giriśam
 apratīpam avasthitam
dakṣo ’thāpa upaspṛśya
 kruddhaḥ śaptuṁ pracakrame

Translation: 
The sage Maitreya continued: Thus Dakṣa, seeing Lord Śiva sitting as if against him, washed his hands and mouth and cursed him in the following words.
